I'm sure Kinectimals deserves a pretty good score. This is just motion-controller hate. A review doesn't put Kinectimals even in the same room as a Halo or Uncharted even if they have the same score. But some gamers still feel threatened by motion controls.
Still, you know it is coming. You need to post in the gaming section at the GoodHousekeeping.com site if you don't want to hear about the stomach-curdling disdain some gamers have for Kinect's 100% casu...

That's why it is supposedly done right before Call of Duty, when millions are wanting to go online.
We don't know for sure as to why and when MS drops the weapons of mass console banning, but it looks suspect. They have every right to, but it looks suspect. If they do it again next year...it will confirm it for a lot of gamers.
It was a clear driver of sales last year. I am not going to say it was Microsoft's reason for doing it, but the extreme prejudice in banning refurbished consoles makes them seem suspect.
It certainly didn't dissuade them. If this happens again, I can see a lawsuit brewing, Terms of Conditions or not.
People also are more likely to spend the time writing a negative reviews.

What's Microsoft's ROI marketing Kinect? I don't know their projections, but I think 500 million over the next year is kind of crazy. This is not going to make them the next Wii. I think Sony may make more of a profit with Move just by not treating it like the end-all be-all.
Remember, they considered EyeToy a success. Riiight?
is probably more reflective of the games than the Kinect itself. What "potential" that Kinect has, we've yet to see.
LOL. I think the author assumes that if it stays connected, it is more likely to be used. Integrating Kinect with the interface is a better argument, but really who is going to do that either. Buttons are better.
For casuals, all three consoles are equally prone to the "dust bunny factor."

Yeah. We get a (time) exclusive mission, but MS still has the first game. I already played it, but I would love to have my own Shepherd and abilities carry over from my buddy's 360.
But all these extras has definitely put me back in Bioware's graces.
This of all things might get me to buy a 360, possibly replacing Mass Effect (if I got a 360, I'd buy both ME1 & 2 anyway). I'll wait until Panzer Dragoon or maybe Circle of Eden if it is an exclusive for the games, but the techie in me really wants to try it out.
This and the new model could be a perfect storm and really grow the brand.
Yeah I would advise everybody non-casual to wait until next year like Gizmodo. The games now are too casual to interest me.
I've found very few actual scores for Kinect. I think it is doing well, but probably not as well as Microsoft expects as far as reviews and sales.
Despite objections from these reviews, it appears to function well enough for folks to really enjoy.
There was a part of the game you had to use a gun...to shoot out a window. LOL
Kinect will do well enough to keep smiles on the faces of the Gamestops and Targets, but everything indicates Microsoft was expecting a faster launch.
Sold out online is not the same as sold out at retailers. I stop counting the number of individual Kinects at 20 at my local Best Buy. There were a dozen more, not including bundles.
